Summer Camp Rope Specialists

We have a unique opportunity for someone to get certified and assist the ropes challenge course for the summer program.​

 Must be at least 18 years old and available to work full days, 8:45am-4:45pm, M-F from June 29 to August 15 for 7 weeks. Must be able to take an ACCT approved training course held in Vermont, as well as have or receive CPR and Advanced 1^st Aid. Trainings will be arranged by Albany JCC. Previous experience preferred on a Ropes Challenge Course, as well as summer camp experience with children ages 6-15. Potential school year work opportunities with afterschool or school break Vacation Camps.

•    Current CPR and First Aid Certification required. 
•    MAT training optional.
•    For Ropes and Assistant Ropes, additional ACCT certified training courses are required prior to work.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Able to work outdoors, in and around the program site, and at offsite locations for field trips that occur indoors and outdoors, etc.
• Assist Ropes Specialist with inspection of program area and equipment for safety concerns.
• CPR/1st Aid preferred.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to be outdoors during the majority of Summer Camp hours.
• Will include moving/lifting equipment, cabinets, etc.
• Ability to Lift up to 25 pounds

Weather conditions: Weather will vary from heat/humidity/rain/cold.
