REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Knowledge of HR management systems and software preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing human resources generalist functions, preferably in a local government setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Basic knowledge of compensation and benefits structures.
- Familiarity with recruitment processes and employee onboarding
- Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proactive approach with excellent follow-up capabilities and utilize self-learning techniques and complete tasks with minimal to no supervision.
- Familiarity with federal, state and local labor law regulations and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
