Position Overview
The Irrigation Technician I is responsible for assisting the Irrigation Technician II with the day-to-day maintenance of the irrigation system and golf course in addition to any and all general maintenance duties on the golf course as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent
Essential Functions

Repair irrigation heads, wiring, piping, satellites, pumps, valves, and trouble shooting

Monitor pump stations in absence of irrigation tech

Monitor daily water distribution on the golf course in absence of irrigation tech

Maintain and repair clubhouse lawn and landscape irrigation system

Adjust irrigation head arc and output

Use electronic wire locating device to locate and repair underground irrigation wiring

Assist in various maintenance activities as required
Requirements

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Problem solving and critical thinking skills

At least 2 years’ experience in golf course maintenance, preferably at a resort golf facility
