Senior Data Architect

SierTek Ltd. is seeking a Senior Data Architect to support an opportunity remotely.

Position Overview:

The Data Architect will work remotely, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of both legacy and modern data structures throughout the project lifecycle, including those hosted in AWS. This role involves the construction of data models with inputs from Project Architects, ensuring the security of data, and coordinating infrastructure needs with the client's infrastructure team. The architect will also be responsible for examining, evaluating, and summarizing data to provide recommendations on its use, quality, and completeness. A significant part of the role involves familiarity with system administration, Java code development, and Appian.

Essential Job Functions

• Design, develop and maintain legacy, modern, and AWS-hosted data structures.
• Construct and maintain data models with inputs from Project Architects.
• Ensure the security and maintenance of data structures throughout the project.
• Coordinate infrastructure needs with the client's infrastructure team, including requisitions and design documentation.
• Develop and maintain Java code and develop services-based interactions with J2EE-based applications.
• Evaluate, summarize and provide recommendations on the use, quality, and completeness of data.
• Work closely with the team to ensure data and documentation quality.
• Familiarity and experience with Appian platform.

Minimum Position Requirements

• MA/MS degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of directly relevant industry experience.
  • 12+ years BA/BS degree
• Proven experience as a Data Architect.
• Familiarity with system administration, Java code development, Appian, and data structures (legacy, modern, AWS-hosted).
• Deep knowledge about legacy, modern, and AWS-hosted data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Java code development, services-based interactions, and Appian.
• Experience with system administration.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and trainings.
• Must be a US Citizen and located within the continental United States.
