As a full-time employee of Contour Airlines:

  • You are eligible for health, vision, and dental coverage as well as short-term/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance policies. If selected, these are effective on the first day of the month following your date of hire. Our current benefit enrollment guide will be provided during the onboarding process if you are selected for employment.
  • You are eligible to participate in our 401(k) savings plan, which would also be effective the first day of the month following your date of hire. The Company match is up to 6%. Your eligibility to participate in this benefit will be in accordance with the normal practices and guidelines of the Company. Our current 401K enrollment guide will be provided during the onboarding process if you are selected for employment.
  • You are eligible to receive paid sick leave. You can accrue up to 56 hours per year which will roll over each year until your sick bank reaches 480 hours.
  • You are eligible to receive vested vacation hours. These hours are available to you on January 1st following your date of hire.
  • You are eligible for non-revenue/space available (NRSA) travel privileges after completing six active months of service.
  • You are eligible for a variety of leaves of absence including medical leave, non-medical leave for the care of a family member, maternity leave, paternity leave, personal leave, etc. Specific information regarding Contour Airlines’ leave of absence policy is outlined in our Employee Handbook which will be provided to you during the onboarding process should you be selected for employment.

 

Additional information:

  • The starting annual salary for this position is between $43,888.00 and $55,000.00 depending on your prior work experience. Based on your performance, you are eligible to receive an annual increase of up to 2.50% or more.

Summary of Essential Duties – Human Resources

  • Assists in the research, review, development, and implementation of personnel policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and other employee communication. Stays up to date with personnel-related trends and legal development to ensure the Company maintains compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action/equal employment opportunity program.
  • Assists with formulating and developing organizational strategies by identifying and researching HR issues, contributing information, analysis, and recommendations, establishing, and aligning HR objectives with Company objectives.
  • Oversee the employee vetting process and the point of contact for the HR department.
  • Review and adjudicate a new hire employee’s criminal history records check via the FBI database.
  • Serve as a Designated Employer Representative (DER) per the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Manage the new hire onboarding process for flight crew members and members of the maintenance department subject to the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Ensure the Company’s compliance with the Pilot Records Improvement Act of 1996 (PRIA).
  • Conduct corporate orientation.
  • Develop and conduct corporate training courses as directed by leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

Summary of Essential Duties – Staffing

  • Assisting with the review of resumes against established criteria provided by the staff recruiters.
  • Engage in correspondence with applicants to schedule interviews.
  • Provide general assistance with the application process for potential talent.
  • Follow-up with applicants regarding their applications, interview schedules, interview reschedules, etc.
  • Assist with talent sourcing and acquisition including on and off-site hiring events as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience is required.
  • Prior experience with the aviation industry preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
  • Knowledge and experience with varied human resource information systems.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
