RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a User Experience Designer to join for an approximate 1-month project!

While working remotely is an option for this position, preference is for candidates based in the Seattle area who are available to work onsite.

We are seeking a talented and passionate User Experience Designer to lead the design of our client’s innovative, company-wide web-based defect registry. This critical tool will enable employees across all departments to efficiently report, track, and manage defects in our products and processes. We are looking for a creative problem-solver who can leverage cutting-edge UX principles to create an intuitive, user-friendly interface that will streamline our defect management workflow and improve overall product quality.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual interested in designing a web application that will be used daily by employees at all levels of our client’s organization. The ideal candidate will have a data-driven approach to design, using analytics and user feedback to inform their decisions and measure the effectiveness of their solutions. A strong commitment to user advocacy is essential, as this role will significantly impact the productivity and efficiency of our client’s entire workforce.

 

As a User Experience Designer, You Will

  • Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define business and feature requirements via empirical online data, usability findings, market research, and proven UCD principles.
  • Present design work to the product team, and our client’s executives for review and feedback.  
  • Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards.

As an Applicant, You Bring

  • 7+ years industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or Flash highly desired.
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver.
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions is required.

Compensation

Pay Range: $70-$77 (Hourly)    

The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.  

Benefits:

Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
