Description

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager for our Beautiful Wilbur Mansion. You must have an eye for detail, hold a high level of technological knowledge and performance, and enjoy working with and leading others. 

To be successful in this role, you'll need management skills and experience in both the front and back of the house. You must know how to oversee the dining room, check in with customers, and balance seating capacity. We expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will help ensure our Restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Assist with the daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations including but not limited to scheduling, ordering, reservations, events, all elements of the bar. 

  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction. 

  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints. 

  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures. 

  • Be a leader to our employees: continually develop and train team members, appraise staff performance, and ensure that all restaurant policies are followed and completed in a timely manner. 

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. 

  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g., discounts and social media ads).

Qualifications

  • 3+ year restaurant management experience. 

  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff. 

  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills with a proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Basic food safety understanding and practice. 

  • Flexible and long hours required; required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the business. Availability to work holiday, nights and weekends. 

  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Micros POS and Open Table. 

  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing.
