Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Sales Director to lead our Atlanta-based sales team. This is a player/coach role, ideal for someone passionate about renewable energy who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving team performance, fostering professional growth, and directly contributing to sales efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of 5 Enterprise Account Executives and 2 Business Development Representatives.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to set and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Hands-On Sales: Actively participate in prospecting, customer meetings, and closing deals to support the team.
  • Performance Accountability: Monitor and ensure team accountability for individual and group performance metrics.
  • Coaching and Development: Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and feedback to help team members grow professionally.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain oversight of the sales funnel, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Adaptability: Navigate and thrive in a dynamic environment, proactively addressing challenges and changes in the market.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Proven success in a sales leadership role, preferably in enterprise sales, renewables, technology, or B2B sales sectors.
  • Strong background in coaching, mentoring, and developing sales talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute directly to sales efforts, including prospecting and closing deals.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear updates to senior leadership.
  • Experience using a CRM, preferably HubSpot
  • Experience managing a team in a fast-paced, small-company environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with solar energy or Power Purchase Agreements is an advantage but not required.
