The Director provides leadership, management, and operational oversight of licensing and privileging. Playing a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role serves as a coordinating conduit between the department and hospital professionals. Direct oversite of the department requires leadership and strategic planning.
Job Functions
- Evaluate, enhance, and maintain department strategic planning, aligning with goals and industry standards
- Coordinate quality services between the licensing and privileging department with hospitals and physicians
- Ensure seamless process with database and software, ensuring data integrity
- Oversee special projects, providing guidance on project management
- Stay current with changing healthcare laws and regulations
- Identify and resolve discrepancies related to licensing, credentialing and privileging
- Evaluate, enhance, and maintain department standards of operations to ensure efficient workflow of department
- Comply with all state, federal and accredited regulations, identify and address issues that arise
- Collaborate with Vice President, ensuring regular reporting and communication with senior management
- Facilitate meetings and effective communication across department
- Provide direct oversight of staffing needs, continuous position evaluation and leadership succession planning
- Build and foster positive employee relationships, goals and personal development
- Educate and train new staff, guiding managers on onboarding and training process
- Evaluate employee’s performance: annual reviews, goal setting, personnel situations, and separation of employment

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, management, or related field
- Min of 5 years leadership or management experience
- Licensing and credentialing and/or Privileging experience
