Qualifications
- Associate Degree; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Must have an active CASAC License for the state of New York and experience and familiarity with various substance abuse and clinical treatment modalities and resources or be able to pass the exam within six months after hire.
- Experience working with individuals with HIV/AIDS, mental health, and substance abuse
- 2+ years of related experience in the development and facilitation of substance abuse and harm reduction training, education and individual and group work
- Residential setting experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Solid individual, group counseling and communication and writing skills a must
- Working knowledge of various computer programs including email, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
