Custodian

The Lawrence Public Library is seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our community. This role is essential to ensuring that the library remains a comfortable and safe space for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, floors, windows, and furniture.
• Remove trash and recycling from all areas of the building.
• Set up and take down furniture and equipment for meetings and events.
• Respond to cleaning requests and spills in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues.
   

Schedule:

• Sundays 12-6 pm
• Mondays 6-10 am
• Fridays 6-10 am
• Saturday 6 am-12 pm

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with commercial cleaning equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
