The on-call substitute will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of instructional and classroom management processes when teachers are absent for a day or longer periods of time.
Responsibilities:
- Instructional Support:
- Deliver lesson plans provided by absent teachers, ensuring a smooth continuation of the curriculum.
- Provide clear explanations and instructions to students, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise.
- Follow classroom procedures and achieve lesson goals.
- Classroom Management:
- Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Enforce classroom rules and policies to ensure a productive and respectful atmosphere.
- Adaptability:
- Be adaptable and comfortable working across various subjects and grade levels.
- Quickly familiarize oneself with the curriculum and materials for each assignment.
