JOB OVERVIEW: 

The Product Manager for the AI Prototyping Squad will lead the identification, development, and validation of AI-driven solutions. This role involves market scanning, ideation, stakeholder engagement, and the efficient management of resources to ensure rapid prototyping and delivery of innovative AI solutions that align with user needs and organizational goals.

 

LOCATION: San Francisco, California (Hybrid)

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Product

SALARY: $111,000–$132,000

TYPE: Full-time, exempt

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market Scanning
    • Continually monitor the evolving AI landscape to identify and assess new market opportunities.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to inform product strategy.
  • Ideation
    • Generate innovative concepts and potential AI-driven solutions with a strong focus on addressing user needs.
    • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and encourage creative thinking within the team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to vet and prioritize ideas for exploration.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for AI initiatives.
  • Prioritization
    • Evaluate and prioritize ideas based on feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with the organization's mission.
    • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about which prototypes to pursue.
  • Prototype Validation
    • Oversee the validation of prototypes to ensure they meet desired outcomes and performance criteria.
    • Work closely with engineers and data scientists to refine prototypes based on testing results and user feedback.
  • Resource Management
    • Efficiently manage squad resources, including time, budget, and talent, to maximize the team's productivity and effectiveness.
    • Ensure the squad has the necessary tools and support to meet project objectives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on AI or emerging technologies.
  • Proven track record of leading successful AI projects from concept to launch.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and market dynamics.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in prioritization, resource management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • A passion for innovation and a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, with the drive to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
