Overview of Position

Osborn Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer with design experience in Power Systems Analysis, including Short Circuit Studies, Over-Current Device Coordination Studies, and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, to join our team. This position will report to the Manager of Electrical Engineering.

Position Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Power Systems Analysis, including Short Circuit Studies, Over-Current Device Coordination Studies, and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis (per NFPA 70E) 
  • Strong working knowledge of SKM, EasyPower, and/or eTap Software
  • Verifying electrical system connections through visual inspection
  • Verifying validity of existing facility power distribution one line diagrams
  • Able to rework existing facility power distribution diagrams based on actual field conditions
  • Able to read blueprints and locate equipment on blueprints based on actual field conditions
  • Documentation of existing electrical power system components and connections
  • Being a “Qualified Person” per OSHA and NFPA 70E definition is not required but very beneficial
  • Willing to travel to gather field data

Our Electrical Engineers work closely with the directors, managers, and engineering staff to ensure clients’ needs and expectations are exceeded and met in a timely fashion.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical design experience.
  • Professional Engineer License in Ohio (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field 
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. 
  • Familiarity with power system analysis software.
  • Demonstrated writing and communication skills.
