Regional Account Manager – Agriculture Crop Packaging
Location: Sheldon, MO | Job Type: Full-time | Reports To: Director of Sales
About the Role
The Regional Account Manager plays a critical role in managing existing accounts within a region but also one who isn’t afraid to prospect new customers. You are a strong sales strategist with a deep understanding of or the ability to learn about the agriculture industry, crop protection, and packaging solutions. A relationship builder who can drive revenue growth by developing partnerships with large end-user buyers, commercial farms, retail locations, and other agribusiness outlets.
This is primarily an in-office position with remote capabilities. Some travel is required from Feb to August.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
- Manage and grow existing accounts by building long-term relationships with clients.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within current accounts to increase product penetration.
- Monitor customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
New Business Development & Sales Execution
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within and outside of your book of business.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand into new product segments with customers.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customers’ needs as required.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with customer demands.
- Deliver a minimum of sales activities as assigned by leadership.
Sales Negotiation & Closing Deals
- Manage the full sales journey in your region, even after the sale.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that align with both company goals and customer expectations.
- Address objections and concerns with insights and product knowledge.
Industry & Product Expertise
- Stay informed about agriculture industry trends, crop packaging regulations, and sustainability requirements.
- Educate customers on the benefits of crop packaging solutions, including bale netting, silage wrap, grain bags, and other protective materials.
- Provide technical support and guidance to ensure customers get the best results from our products.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with internal teams (supply chain, R&D, customer service) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use CRM software to track customer interactions, sales pipeline, and performance metrics.
- Provide weekly sales reports, market insights, and forecasts to sales leadership.
Compensation: Starting salary $55,000 base annual salary + commission
