ITS Senior System Analyst

Position provides a high level of administrative support, to include development, testing, optimization, integration and implementation of various clinical and administrative applications across the health care system.

Works to optimize processes and participates in designing, building, testing, training, implementing, evaluating, maintaining and enhancing organizational information systems. Senior position serves as mentor to other IT staff.

 

General

  • Complies with organization’s Service Improvement, Safety, Compliance, and Performance Improvement initiatives
  • Promotes Teamwork and meets Time Management standards

Primary

  • Maintains strong working knowledge of organization ancillary clinical systems
  • Works directly, effectively, collaboratively with department leaders and staff to develop, maintain and support technological solutions to meet needs hospital
  • Manages program specifications, project workflows and system installations or upgrades to ensure high system functionality, end-user satisfaction and meeting of budget constraints
  • Maintains awareness of external factors which can affect or enhance ancillary and clinical systems
  • Develops training plans and implements training to department staff
  • Support users in developing downtime procedures
  • Serves as liaison between vendors and staff
  • Serves as liaison between department and ITS department
  • Acts as primary systems administrator for all assigned applications
  • Serves as mentor to application and infrastructure staff

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification

Master’s degree preferred,Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).

No licensure or certification required.

Experience

If a Bachelor's degree: Two (2) years of direct experience.

If an Associate's degree: Four (4) years of direct experience.

If a High School diploma or GED: Ten (10) years of direct experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong and proven analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in the development of trusting relationships and partnerships. Excellent project management skills. Understands and applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.

Ability to work well in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Highly responsive to internal customers.
