Patient Educator

Plan, implement, and evaluate education systems, programs, projects and policies that promote and support the accomplishment of our organizational goals. Plan, implement and provide educational resources to staff, patients and family members on specific patient education needs. Support staff through in-services and training on disease specific education and through educational resources available.

Education/Certification:                      

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.  Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred with specialty certification in Critical Care. Licensed as RN in the State of North Carolina.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire
Certified Diabetes Educator preferred on hire, or must be willing to obtain

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ nursing experience. 
Previous experience with health education program planning and coordination preferred.
Previous diabetic education experience preferred
