Description

The Pediatric Nurse or Family Practitioner (PNP/FNP), in collaboration with a supervising physician will perform patient management activities for an assigned group of pediatric patients and consults in conjunction with a supervising physician for pediatric patients in the Emergency Department and admitting pediatric patients for inpatient for observation, under the supervision of the Pediatrician.   In addition, indirect patient care responsibilities include role modeling, clinical consultation, and educator.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and completed an accredited certificate or Masters of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Program.

Certified as a NP by the ANCC or the AANP.

BLS and PALS Certifications.
