Description

Responsible for providing basic and advanced respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.  The therapist implements, evaluates and documents the effectiveness of respiratory care.  The therapist is responsible for providing effective education to patients and/or family members.  The therapist is responsible for assisting with cleaning and maintaining respiratory equipment, performing 12-lead EKGs, and other job-related tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of respiratory therapy.  

Must be eligible for registry by national board of respiratory therapy or certification

Must have current North Carolina license to practice respiratory care.

Current registered (RRT) or certified respiratory therapist (CRT).  

Maintain current CPR/BLS certification

 

Experience:

1-2 years preferred.  

Prior EMR experience preferred.
