Cardiology Tech

Assists the technologist with patient care and clerical duties in order to maintain a maximum amount of productivity and a high level of patient care. Performs EKG’S; sets up and scans Holter monitors; assists with stress tests to include patient setup, 
Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Education/Certification:

High school graduate.

One year of college preferred with medically related courses or previous work experience in a hospital setting or physician’s office.

Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology and completion of a basic EKG class are a must.

Experience with Holter monitoring systems is helpful.  

BLS required.        

Experience:

Some experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
