The DevOps Analyst will report to the Senior Information Services Manager working towards implementing “Best in class” operational processes and procedures network wide through gathering/managing data to develop data sets/Dashboards to provide insights and solutions of KPI results to executive management and operations. He/she will utilize business analytic tools, the analyst will collect data, analyze and provide trends/gaps of the operational results including projections. The DevOps Analyst will be responsible for various tasks including analytical studies, Dashboard development, provide KPI recommendations, collect/organize data, document and generate business case requirements. The analyst will communicate internal and external KPI results through formal documented reports.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Self-starter, able to learn new functions quickly and accurately
  • SQL – Postgresql a plus.  Fast learner for database and tables.
  • Deploy data visibility tools.
  • Flexible Work Hours (PST, CST, EST)
  • Help Desk
  • EDI Transactions (FTP, XML) types/mapping: 315, 204, 210,211, 214, 215, 850, 810, 855,940, 943, 944, 945, 846
  • WMS experience
  • Scrum- agile project, waterfall management methodologies a plus
  • Kanban methodologies 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Logistics, Import, Export, Transportation life-cycle knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Content Contributor/Project Management
  • HTML or PHP knowledge a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously
  • Proven track-record of maintaining Data analytics to provide Dashboard KPI results and

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used design concepts, relational databases, business process
  • Has ability to be cross-trained in business process, technology implementations, and adoption

  • Proven working experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
  • Must have High school diploma or GED

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Advanced SQL query software and language, computer hardware and troubleshooting
  • Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, VBA code ,Power shell, Smartsheet, Power BI,
  • Tableau etc.
  • Proficient and advanced computer skills
  • Excellence - ability to deliver consistent quality results through sense of urgency and taking
  • initiative, while also demonstrating flexibility to meet business needs.
  • Generally, requires minimum of (3+) years’ experience, preferably in warehouse operations,
  • manufacturing or distribution environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or related field preferred or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.  

Judgment/Reasoning Ability:

  • Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy.
  • Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
