Education and/or Experience: Â
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college/university and 2 years marine experience. Or:
- Associate degree and/or a minimum of 8 years’ experience with relevant marine industry training.
- 2 years’ experience as a Quality Manager or show progressive career growth with recent leadership responsibilities;
- Familiar with boat systems: DC electrical, waler/pluming, propulsion;
- Excellent leadership and cross-organizational collaboration skills;
- Outstanding attention to detail;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Experience writing procedures and standards.

Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Other Qualifications:
- 2-4 years supervisory/leadership experience in Quality Assurance;
- Experience with quality system development and operation such as ISO 9000 or equivalent;
- Experience with quality inspection methods;
- Understands boats from a design, build, and on-water function perspective;
- Demonstrate a passion and a responsibility for the consumer;
- Willingness to travel when required;
- Demonstrate written and oral communication skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software systems;
- Ability to present information to a large group and interface across all departments;
- Great communication skills across the business that align with company culture and teamwork.
