Job Title: HVAC Technician 

 

Job Description  

All Saints’ Episcopal School is seeking a skilled, motivated, and energetic individual to join the Maintenance department as an HVAC Technician. The HVAC Technician will perform a range of tasks to ensure the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the school's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role is crucial in maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for the school community. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Provide expert HVAC support to all School Divisions, staff, and faculty. 

  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. 

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems. 

  • Ensure all HVAC equipment is functioning properly and efficiently. 

  • Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring. 

  • Monitor and adjust building controls, thermostats, and air distribution systems. 

  • Respond promptly to HVAC-related work orders and emergencies. 

  • Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance as needed. 

  • Assist in maintaining HVAC-related inventory and supplies. 

  • Work closely with maintenance, construction, IT, security, and other staff to ensure seamless operations. 

  • Participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evening and weekend work. 

  • Operate various tools and equipment, including electrical, battery-powered, gas, and manual tools. 

  • Follow safety protocols and comply with OSHA regulations. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 

  • Physical Abilities Test required during onboarding 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or a related field. 

  • Able to read prints. 

  • EPA Universal-certification is preferred. 

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including the ability to diagnose and repair issues. 

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime. 

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and follow instructions. 

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and quality work. 

 

 

Physical Qualifications 

  • Clean driving record and visual acuity. 

  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. 

  • Tolerate moderate noise levels and various odors. 

  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions. 

  • Use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment effectively.
