The eCommerce Director oversees and drives our online sales strategy. They are responsible for managing all aspects of our eCommerce operations, from website management and product listings, customer experience and brand awareness. They work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the online customer journey, maximize conversions, and increase revenue.
Position is on site only. Remote work is not available.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- eCommerce Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement the eCommerce strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and evaluate new opportunities for online sales growth, including new sales channels, product lines, and customer engagement strategies.
- Consistently review platform, apps and third party systems to ensure they continue to meet evolving needs and customer experience expectations.
- Website and Platform Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the eCommerce website, ensuring optimal performance, functionality, and user experience.
- Oversee management of product listings, pricing, and inventory to ensure accurate and timely availability of products.
- Coordinate with web developers, designers, and content teams to maintain a cohesive brand look and feel and ensure mobile-friendly designs.
- Oversee management of all third party partners, collaborating to ensure the goals of the company are clear in the planning process, reviewing annual contracts and constantly evaluating partner relationships.
- Digital Marketing and Conversion Optimization
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive traffic through SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and affiliate programs.
- Monitor and analyze website performance metrics (conversion rate, average order value, site performance, etc.) and optimize site content, design, and functionality accordingly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns and seasonal sales to drive engagement and revenue.
- Customer Experience and Support
- Work with customer service teams to ensure a seamless, positive experience for customers, from product browsing to post-purchase.
- Manage customer feedback and resolve issues to improve satisfaction and retention.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze sales, traffic, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and optimize strategies.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, including insights on sales, customer behavior, and marketing effectiveness.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and train eCommerce team members.
- Conduct bi-weekly meetings with direct reports to encourage and foster personal growth.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, encouraging team input and creativity.
- Identify key strengths in each team member and where they can be utilized to improve team dynamics and creative productivity.
