Responsibility: High level of supervision needed. Low level of operational decision making.

Skills:

  • Basic Administrative Skills - Use of technology, verbal and written communication, business correspondence, organization, time management.
  • Excellent Teamwork and Communication Skills – Interact, work and relate with people, listen, speak, read, write, observe, use English fluently.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills – Product knowledge, problem-solving skills, time management, attentiveness, patience, positive attitude, a willingness to go the extra mile, responsibility, professionalism.
  • Excellent Food Service Skills – food presentation, service etiquette, knowledge of food and beverage service standards, positive attitude, knowledge of menu components, food, beverage, and wine.
  • Basic Safety Skills – Observe safety rules, safely operate equipment, food safety consciousness, CPR and First Aid.
  • At least 3 months experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.

Effort: Medium – Walk and stand for extended periods of time. Bend, reach, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Work Conditions: Level 3 – Half of the work is performed indoors, half outdoors, half of the work is performed in an air-conditioned environment, variable schedule based on business demands, some duties require working with hazards.

Duties: Responsible for setting and clearing food and beverage items to and from tables in the dining room. Provides Club Members and guests with the finest service while creating a warm and friendly environment.

  • Serves bread, butter, and water as members and guests are seated.
  • Assists in carrying food trays to and from the kitchen.
  • Assists servers in their tasks of serving members and guests.
  • Removes soiled dishes from tables using proper serving techniques and brings to dishwashing area.
  • Breaks down trays in dish area as they are brought back from the floor placing silverware in soaking bins, glassware in appropriate racks, and stacking like dishes together.
  • Places linen and trash in appropriate location. Removes soiled linen and/or placemats from table and replace with clean items.
  • Anticipates the needs of members and guests in order to provide proactive service at all times.
  • Sets tables with silverware, glassware, china, and clean linen or placemat, as required by reservations.
  • Keeps ice bins filled and replenishes when needed.
  • Completes opening and closing side work as assigned.
  • Maintains a neat, professional appearance with proper nametag and uniform throughout each shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
