The gKids Assistant and Family Ministry Coordinator is responsible for helping to fulfill the vision of the Lead Pastor in all aspects of the job. They will work closely with the gKids Director to execute gKids’ child and parent ministries. Responsibilities will include curriculum support, recruiting, researching, team building, and assisting with special events. The coordinator will also assist in teaching, providing resources, and investing in parents and families as a part of their total responsibilities.
Responsibilities

Engage in appropriate and professional communications among leaders, ministry partners, and families

Assist in obtaining, organizing, and prepping resources and materials for gKids ministries on all campuses and for all services

Prepare parent resources for handouts and social media
-
Administratively support, plan for and assist in teaching parenting classes

Plan, prepare and share at home resources that parents can use to disciple their children and children in their city

Input notes and volunteer information in GraceLink
-
Participate in and be ready to lead Sunday morning huddles

Participate in weekly and monthly team meetings
-
Help with training for gKids volunteers

Help ensure volunteers and families are discipled and valued

Assist in setting up Early Learning classrooms before service

Assist in supervising gKids’ areas during services and attend one service a week. This includes some Thursday night services.

Provide administrative support to the gKids Ministry team

Cooperate with and assist the gKids Ministry staff in fulfilling day-to-day tasks as well as special events

Stay fluid with job responsibilities as needs of the ministry and church change and grow

Maintain assigned budgets. Manage and steward the budget effectively and adhere to spending policies.

20+ hour/week employees are required to work any “all hands on deck” events, including but not limited to Easter, Christmas Eve, and VBS

Qualifications

An appropriate educational background

Church membership required

Experience as a ministry staff member and ministry leadership experience preferred

Self–motivated and organized with the ability to build and engage volunteers
