Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in a Human Services field (Human Development/Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
- Two (2) years full-time experience in a related field or
- Master’s Degree in a Human Service related field with applicable licensure to include:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Master of Social Worker-Advanced Clinical Practitioner (LMSW-ACP) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Crisis work experience, preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work well as a member of a team.
- Must have and be able to show compassion for those in mental health crisis.
- Must be able to muti-task and work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
- Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to deliver information in stressful situations.
- Must be able to use a personal computer with Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to navigate an electronic health record platform.
- Must be willing to embrace and embody StarCare's corporate culture.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle. Local travel is required and mileage reimbursement is provided.
- Must have current Texas driver’s license and be insurable under the organization's insurance.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
