Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales and Marketing Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role involves supporting the sales, marketing and GLBC gift shop by identifying their marketing product needs, working with our current quality suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills to drive cost efficiency and ensure seamless procurement operation
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying Needs:
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand requirements for materials, services, and campaign needs.
- Translate business goals into actionable procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with Director of Marketing and Gift Shop Manager to select e-commerce products that also translate to on prem gift shop needs.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices that inform marketing strategies at retail.
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable delivery and service performance.
- Address any supplier issues or delays to minimize disruptions to sales and marketing initiatives.
- Research, evaluate, and onboard potential vendors to ensure alignment with quality and delivery expectations.
- Maintain a database of qualified suppliers for various marketing and sales functions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to achieve cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Procurement Systems:
- Serve as systems and data expert across all internal and external databases, workflow programs, and supply chain tools.
- Continually evaluate processes and systems to identify, drive, and implement improvement opportunities that enhance total business profitability and minimize waste.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts at 3PL warehouse(s) and reconcile variances across all systems.
- Proactively minimize and manage supply chain disruptions through troubleshooting, problem solving, communication, and course-correction.

- Enter, maintain, receive in, and release accurate records, purchase order data, and invoices across all systems.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and contracts.
