Description

Position Summary: The Central Production Director is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the audio, visual, and lighting needs of Liberty. They are tasked with the responsibility of creating and enhancing production elements that deliver a technically cohesive, distraction-free service experience at each campus.

Position Reports To:  Executive Pastor

 

Hours: This is a full-time position. A basic work schedule consists of working Monday through Thursday, 8:30am – 4:30pm as well as all necessary services or programs on Sunday. Attendance at all services and special events is required. Some weekend hours will be necessary.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Support the campuses of Liberty in the creative planning and production of weekend services and special events.
  2. Work closely with the Creative Leadership Team (Communications, Worship, Production) to ensure best practices are developed and maintained.
  3. Work with the Production Team to ensure tasks are being completed and information is being disseminated as needed.
  4. Oversee the implementation of all service media elements (IMAG screen content, lyrics, moving backgrounds, video content, lighting elements, audio standards, etc.)
  5. Function as the administrator/coordinator for Regional Production Managers.
  6. Create and implement programs to ensure volunteer teams are recruited, trained, informed, ministered to, and ready to serve.
  7. Function as the central technical director, coordinating activities for rehearsals and live productions: ensuring issues are resolved quickly with minimal negative impact on weekend services and special events.
  8. Oversee the maintenance of all production equipment and supplies (audio systems, lighting systems, video systems, ancillary systems, projects, etc.).
  9. Manage the annual production budget.
  10. Ensure all events are adequately covered with the help of the Event Production Coordinator (i.e., Services, funerals, and special functions).

  4. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Pastor.
  5. Is a loyal staff member by cooperating and following the leadership of the church.
  6. Follow Liberty’s policies and procedures.
  7. Work in coordination with the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the church, which are summarized by the mission statement “Changing Lives, Communities and the World for Jesus Christ.”
  8. Lead volunteers to Know God, Find Community, Serve People, and Leave a Legacy

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Excellent written, oral & interpersonal communication skills.
  2. Strong ability to multi-task and take a creative approach to problem-solving.
  3. Develop collaborative creativity, the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  4. Experienced in studio and live audio/video/lighting production.
  5. Working knowledge of broadcasting principles.
  6. Relevant experience in a large church or large event setting.
  7. At least 5 years of professional experience required.

 

Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

This job will be primarily carried out in many different venues and locations. Some heavy lifting will be required.
