Description

Under the direction of the VP of People Operations, administers and implements People Ops programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for a dynamic onboarding and training experience for new hires to Thomas Eye Group including administrative functions. Counsels management and staff on People Operations matters, including employee relations. Processes and maintains confidential employee information. Coordinates compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Serves as training and learning coordinator to facilitate excellent training experience.  Communicates with and counsels staff relating to performance, teamwork, conflict management, and other People Ops solutions and best practices. Guides leadership through employee concerns and provides recommendations for coaching and/or corrective action, as appropriate. Assists in maintaining records on HR activities.  Interprets organizational policies and procedures. Serves on internal and external committees when appropriate. Assesses training needs, and partners in coordinating training and development activities.  May assist in conducting training for staff and/or leadership. Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. Serves as a liaison between managers and staff in the People Operations Department by providing general administrative support in the areas for staffing, training, benefit administration, payroll, and employee relations.  Responsible for performing administrative POPS support tasks in the areas of staffing, posting job ads, compensation, employee benefits, employee relations, performance management, workplace dispute resolution, and People Operations records management.   Assists in the effective and productive implementation of People Operations programs to balance priorities and to ensure the consistency of day-to-day operational practices in accordance with established TEG policies.  Must be professional and requires the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.  Supports managerial staff with projects, report analysis, complaints, or problems, and summarizes the information to present management. Typical support assignments include compiling, tracking, and analyzing data; identifying technical problems and recommending solutions; and actively participates with managers in research, investigations, and other People Operations technical support activities.  Demonstrates considerable amount of independence in time management and using assigned resources to accomplish tasks or projects; accurately and timely.  Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in HR field of study.

Required Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in an HR/People Ops Generalist  or Business Partner role

  • Proficient in office productivity MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), preferably Advanced Excel skills
