TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. Job Description:

Join a company that knows the value of its employees and works with you to develop your career. We are currently seeking an Inventory Clerk at our Richmond, VA location. As a TemperPack Inventory Clerk you will collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership to actively manage our inventory utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accuracy by both location and count. You will observe and adhere to safety regulations in all activities throughout a high-paced manufacturing facility. You will collaborate with other departments as needed to gain safe access to products.  You will work as part of the team to determine the best possible way to count the inventories, streamline product movements, ensure virtual-to-physical inventory accuracy, and organize physical storage. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Requires 2 years’ verifiable experience in Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control.
  • Counting physical inventory and conducting cycle counts.
  • Use handheld WMS RF scanning devices and desktop electronic equipment to maintain and adjust inventories as required.
  • Responsible for quality control of goods received and managed in our warehouses.
  • Able to follow processes, recommend revisions, and develop processes.
  • Ensure secure and organized inventories of various product types.
  • Assist in unloading trucks, checking in product, making goods receipts, product put-away – as needed.
  • Other duties as observed, needed, or assigned

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED required
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Strong math / numerical aptitude
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Positive attitude, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work the hours of 7:30am-4pm M-F, occasional weekend days for inventory/special projects

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 8-10 hours
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
