Experience and Education:
- 5+ years’ experience in Industrial Automation.
- BSME or BSEE with concentration in automation, system integration and machinery preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and motion systems is a must; Allen Bradley or Schneider preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of AutoCAd Electrical; SolidWorks is optional.
- Wide knowledge of standard pneumatic, electric, and mechanical solutions.
- Understand, design, and practice machine safety
- Be able to understand how a machine functions mechanically.
- Be able to apply electrical components to a control system to make the machine run as designed.
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.
- Adept at prototyping and building proof of concept models.
- Demonstrate strong communication with colleagues and customers
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
- Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
- Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
