Graphic Design Specialist

Exmoor Country Club is seeking a talented and passionate graphic designer to bring the Exmoor brand to life across a variety of channels, including print, email, social media, and web. The ideal candidate is a motivated, creative professional with a strong eye for design, typography, and layout. This role requires a designer who can innovate within brand guidelines, contributing fresh ideas while supporting Exmoor’s overall brand strategy.

The Position

In this dynamic role, the Designer will support Exmoor’s creative vision by producing high-quality visual assets across multiple mediums. Responsibilities include creating logos, print materials (brochures, signage, menus), and digital content for email, web, mobile, and social platforms. The Designer will manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet brand standards and reflect current campaigns. Attention to detail, strong photo editing skills, and a consistent visual style are essential.

A proactive and innovative mindset is key to evolving the Club’s website and digital presence in line with organizational growth. The Designer must translate complex ideas into clean, impactful visuals, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet project goals and deadlines. Responsibilities also include preparing files for print, maintaining organized asset libraries, and staying current on design trends to inform creative strategy while upholding Exmoor’s refined brand identity. This position reports to the Director of Membership & Communications.

The Potential Candidate

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of professional design experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field. Their portfolio showcases elevated design sensibility, attention to detail, and expertise in luxury aesthetics. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac platform—particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator—is required, along with strong skills in layout, typography, and photo editing. Experience with print production, CMS platforms like WordPress, interactive PDFs, and PowerPoint is highly desirable.

This individual is collaborative, self-motivated, and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. They demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to high-quality work. Enthusiasm, adaptability, and professionalism are essential, as is the ability to contribute creative ideas and improve design processes.

The History

Founded in 1896 as Illinois' third golf club, Exmoor is a private, full-service country club, located in Highland Park, Illinois, 28 miles north of Chicago. With a championship golf course designed by Donald J. Ross, Exmoor continues to fulfill its original mission as a family club devoted to the game of golf, while offering a growing range of sports and social opportunities. Sports at Exmoor include golf, curling, tennis, swimming, ice skating, platform tennis, cross-country skiing, and the fastest-growing sport in America, pickleball. Members of all ages enjoy a year-round schedule of exciting social activities.
