Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Medical Assistant to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma, WA.

Function: Provide medical assistance to adults and children who suffer from mental health illnesses. Perform both clinical and administrative duties. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team serving consumers with behavioral health needs
- Administer and monitor psychotropic medications under the supervision as delegated by a licensed registered nurse. Ensure follow-up on referrals and facilitate continuity of care.
- Gather medical history information, & vital signs as directed by a registered nurse or prescriber, support licensed nursing and medical staff with medication management as needed including oral and injectable medications as prescribed
- Document all medication monitoring and self-medications in EHR program or hard copy Medication Administration Record (MAR) daily by end of shift.
- Coordinate ordering and reporting of labs and lab results to prescribers.
- Coordinate insurance services/ prior authorizations.
- Coordinate community medical integrated healthcare services.
- Provide psychoeducation groups related to healthcare and medication to consumers
- Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
- Maintain medical records and provide reports in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to increasing competence and knowledge within the mental health field.
- Demonstrates the ability to complete nursing assessments (LPN only), document risk and notify.
Qualifications:
- Completion of accredited medical assistant program. WA State certification and or registration for credentialing RCW 18.360.050.
- FOR LPN’S - WA State Licensed Practical Nurse
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task prioritizes deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license; proof of insurance.
