Purpose:  This position is responsible for the secure receiving and movement of raw materials, Work-in-Process, and finished products throughout the Henderson facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver and maintain materials from storage to work-in-process to finished products. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Receives supplies, raw materials, customer inventory, or work-in-process at the receiving docks. These receivables will have the appropriate accountability and records of receipt. These items will be moved to their proper locations for storage, per traceability requirements until ready for use. As requests for materials are made from the production area, this position locates the requested materials and delivers them as needed to the required locations.
  2. Maintains detailed records of receipt and shipments as required and distributes or files these records as necessary.  Transacts these in the MS Dynamics system.
  3. Maintains accurate and timely records of all movements of plastic, laminates, foils, and all other production materials (raw material, and finished products) within and between the production and storage facilities. This will be done in accordance to all VISA / MasterCard, and/or other security requirements and procedures.
  4. Controls all materials going into and out of the vault, containment cage and shipping cage. This is accomplished through the completion of numerous standardized inventory reporting methods and or forms. These will then be properly distributed to the appropriate managers and personnel as authorized throughout the location.
  5. Will assist in the preparation of items for shipment as needed. Assists with work assignments in the destruction process as needed.
  6. Researches issues of receipt or shipment as needed and produces appropriate records to verify the location of the items in question.
  7. Manages execution of weekly/monthly/annual cycle counts as needed.
  8. Schedules appropriate transportation as needed for incoming or outgoing deliveries.
  9. Assists with work assignments in the destruction process as needed.
  10. Assists with other production assignments as needed.
  11. Perform as a back up to the Receiving and Inventory Management Coordinator.

This job description is a guide – at all times duties will be determined and assigned by the on duty manager as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments as required. This position involves keeping track of materials which are being requested from the production groups within the plant. The 100% accountability of these materials is paramount to the success of the inventory control and secure requirements of the position. The ability of the manufacturing equipment to continue operation is often times dependent on meeting these requests for materials in a timely manner.
  2. Ability to understand the purpose of various inventory tracking methods and forms with the accurate and timely completion of the transactions is required.
  3. Ability to work with minimal supervision while keeping the supply of materials to the various production areas current, in addition to maintaining accurate and timely records is required.
  4. Working knowledge of personal computers is required. This position is required to frequently use a United Parcel Service computer or software such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel programs.
  5. Ability to operate a pallet jack is required.
  6. Ability and license to operate a powered lift truck is required.
  7. Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.
