Purpose: This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the manufacturing facility & production lines.  This role involves managing Team Members, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing operator efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily activities of the manufacturing floor, including monitoring production processes, staff scheduling and workflow management.
  • Lead, mentor and coach team members providing guidance and support to ensure a productive and positive work environment.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to safety protocols and regulations. 
  • Monitor production output to ensure products meet established quality standards.  Implement additional training and/or corrective action when needed. 
  • Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes, and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality. 
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production volume, downtime and quality metrics.
  • Address any production issues that arise, including equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or personnel challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. 
  • Work with training team ensuring the ability to enhance cross-functional employees, ensuring operational continuity meeting production needs. 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless operations and meet organizational goals. 

Qualifications

Qualification / Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering or related educational and work experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with a least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing production equipment.
  • Proficiency in production management software, i.e. ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
