We are looking to hire a Senior Staff Associate to join our Sacramento audit practice.

Job Description

  • Responsible for leading client engagements and assigned staff through the planning, fieldwork, and completion stages of the audit
  • Takes responsibility for engagement administration, to include coordinating the planning process and engagement completion
  • Desire and ability to maintain positive client relationships
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Identify and research accounting issues when they arise.
  • Contributes to the firm’s overall growth by actively participating in administrative and operational functions

Qualifications·

  • 3 – 6 years of recent and relevant public accounting audit experience of nonprofit and governmental entities
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Must be a CPA or CPA exam candidate
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Accounting & Auditing principals
  • Ability to travel to client locations which may include occasional overnight stays
  • Experience with planning audits and preparing financials for governmental and nonprofit clients
  • Ability to work collectively with clients, managers and co-workers
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities
  • Initiative to learn new areas beyond scope of work
  • Proficient in the use of accounting, spreadsheet, word processing, and database computer software
  • Experience with 990’s a plus
