Engineer

What will you do?

• Maintains visual inspection standards.
• Develops and implements plans for continuous Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements by enhancing yields, uptime and cycle times on designated finishing systems.
• Develops and implements plans for continuous inventory reductions. Analyzes ways to improve product flow through the department while also enhancing ergonomic conditions.
• Participates in launch planning and implementation of new finish cells.
• Develops and implements plans for continuous expense reductions.
• Develops and implements plans for continuous Net Good Finish improvements.
• Evaluates new and existing process equipment that would improve process performance.
• Maintains FEMA and DCP information for designated finishing systems.
• Maintains quality system integrity.
• Helps with 8-D analyses and Design of Experiments.
• Attends SBU meetings.
• Assists Product Quality Engineers in implementing Parts Per Million (PPM) reduction efforts.

What will you need?

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably mechanical, mechanical technology or industrial.
• Ability to read and produce blueprints.
• Use of micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments.
• Proficient in use of personal computers.
• Good communicator and organizer. Able to lead project and cross-functional teams
