 Job Summary                                                                                                                                                                                          

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Nursery Real Estate Acquisition to lead our efforts in acquiring nursery businesses and agricultural real estate. This strategic role requires a deep understanding of both real estate acquisition and the nursery industry, along with the ability to build meaningful relationships with nursery and farm owners.

 

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned real estate professional with experience in business acquisitions, property transactions, and agricultural operations. They will travel weekly to key markets, engaging directly with nursery and farm owners to explore acquisition opportunities. This role demands exceptional professionalism, integrity, and respect for the nursery industry, ensuring that every conversation is handled with the utmost care.

 

Candidates for this role can be based in our Corporate Office in Scottsdale, Arizona alternatively in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, or Miami. Please note this job will have weekly domestic travel up to 4 consecutive travel days. Travel is between 75%-90% based on location

 

 Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                          

  • Develop and execute acquisition strategies for nurseries and agricultural properties.
  • Travel frequently to meet with nursery and farm owners, building trust and long-term relationships.
  • Conduct property and business evaluations, assessing financials, land value, infrastructure, and operational potential.
  • Negotiate deal structures that align with both business objectives and seller expectations.
  • Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, and operational teams to facilitate seamless acquisitions.
  • Stay informed on market trends, zoning laws, and agricultural property regulations.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, discretion, and a deep appreciation for the nursery business.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities                                                                                                                                   

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, business development, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of the nursery, horticulture, or agricultural industries.
  • Proven ability to negotiate acquisitions and close complex deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a deep respect for business owners and their legacies.
  • Willingness to travel weekly to key markets across multiple regions.
  • Ability to travel up to 90% domestically without restriction.

 

 

 

Education                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred).

 

 

 Physical requirements/Working Conditions                                                                                                                                   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
