Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician who embodies the heart of the stockyards. We are seeking an individual who will whole-heartedly take responsibility for ensuring Stockyards Hotel successfully delivers legendary service to every guest, every day.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address issues efficiently.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
• Assist in the installation and setup of equipment and machinery.
• Collaborate with external contractors and service providers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance situations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems.
• Respond to maintenance requests from various departments in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
• Coordinate work with other maintenance staff, as necessary.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.  
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent or technical certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, and basic computer skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
