Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to work with our engineering and business teams to develop features, fixes, and ongoing maintenance for our suite of products. In this role, you will be working collaboratively with end users, software engineers, and support teams to gather information, build plans, and execute those plans to create and improve products and solutions that provide value to the business and end users. Your responsibilities will include working with leadership to prioritize and manage the health of the team backlog, writing user stories for development, and establishing priority by working with internal and external stakeholders. The Product Manager needs to be the prime example of change management. As needs evolve and change, so do priorities. Balanced business decisions should be your specialty.
What You’ll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
- Assist the GM in building out a product roadmap that may include new products and/or feature requests
- Analyze enhancements and feedback from end users to identify trends that should be considered for development
- Clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders on roadmap decisions, timelines, and features
- Evaluate various strategic initiatives to enable leadership to make informed decisions on prioritization
- Promote a healthy balance of features vs. bug fixes in coordination with the Development Manager, Software Engineers, Operations, and Quality Assurance team in backlog management and release planning
- Create product/project plan documentation on large efforts or features
- Work with the instructional designer and engineering specialist to create internal and external user documentation and release notes
- Identify and scope new features through writing user stories and defining acceptance criteria
- Manage and facilitate beta testing
- Follow progress of work and work with Development Manager to address production issues during sprints
- Provide training to support teams during the initial roll out of new/changes to features or applications
- Manage and deliver go to market activities, including training the line org during initial roll out of new features/products, creating documentation for both external and internal use, etc.
