Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Legal Operations to optimize the business and operational aspects of Xponential’s Legal Department. This role will report to the SVP of Legal Affairs, Franchise and Compliance and will be responsible for driving efficiency, managing key legal technologies and vendors, overseeing budget and resource planning, and supporting cross-functional initiatives that align with our corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational: Design and implement scalable legal operations processes, including workflow optimization, policy development, and internal controls.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the legal department’s budget, including outside counsel spend, billing guidelines, accruals, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Technology & Tools: Lead the selection, implementation, and management of legal technology platforms (e.g., CLM, e-billing, document management).
  • Vendor Management: Establish performance metrics and manage relationships with outside counsel and legal service providers.
  • Knowledge & Information Management: Create systems to manage legal documentation, templates, and institutional knowledge efficiently and securely.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Develop and report KPIs and other metrics to measure legal team effectiveness and productivity.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, HR, Compliance, and IT to support enterprise-wide initiatives and drive alignment.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of paralegals and collaborate with attorneys and legal staff across practice areas.

 

Pay Range: $90,000 – $150,000

*Required to be in office M - TH (Fridays are remote)

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in legal operations, law firm management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and legal tech platforms.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented corporate legal environment preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with franchise matters.
  • Familiarity with tools like Ironclad, Onit, Legal Tracker, or similar platforms.
  • Certified Legal Operations Professional (CLOP) or equivalent credential a plus.
  • Change management and process improvement certification (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a bonus.
