Description

Responsible for providing team leadership, strategic direction, and technical expertise on assigned projects.  Position will aggregate and manage the planning, design, and implementation activities of assigned projects to deliver production-ready business solutions.  Additionally, this position helps define the deliverables, timelines, priorities, and milestones of projects, and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure project success.  Position is responsible for maintaining multiple project plans/budgets and negotiating variations to resource commitments (financial, workforce, etc.) to ensure the successful progression of projects. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Responsible for leading and educating teams in completion of projects and adherence to schedule and budget requirements.
  2. Collaborates with Information Technology to evaluate and manage the implementation of potential new software, system design, development, and testing.
  3. Collaborates with Sr. Director, Strategy and CAO to align the MTN organizational strategic plan, process improvement projects and other projects across the organization to optimize resources, maintain efficiency and ensure project momentum.
  4. Manages renovations, change requirements, or facility upgrades.
  5. Responsible for sourcing of new equipment and develops project implementation plan with appropriate departments.
  6. Ensures equipment validation per manufacturer guidelines for all new equipment and documents continuance of policy/procedure for warranty or recommendations for maintenance and quality controls. 
  7. Identifies, initiates, and manages special projects from inception through completion at the direction of leadership, including delegation of tasks to most appropriate person/department.
  8. Develops required materials including technical specifications, project and resource plans, project updates, risk assessments, budgets, mitigation plans, presentation materials and education plans.
  9. Effectively serves as liaison to current and potential project partners, both internal and external to the organization.
  10. Develops and tracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals and effectively communicates results to relevant leadership.
  11. Coordinates and tracks project deliverables from multiple teams by defining, implementing, and updating the project reporting process.
  12. Assists in managing resources for projects (facilities, clinical, technical and otherwise).
  13. Manages and prioritizes competing commitments.
  14. Develops process mapping for projects to effectively communicate plans with key stakeholders.
  15. Provide communication to senior and/or executive leadership on comprehensive organizational project plan overview at established time increments.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Undergraduate degree or higher in a field related to software development or project management required.  PMP certification or active pursuit of certification is highly preferred. 
  2. A minimum of three years’ experience in the field of project management preferred. 
  3. Experience in business, healthcare, project management or computing/development field strongly preferred.
  4. Experience combining hands-on design or development experience and project management, including experience in managing the business aspects of software projects, and demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.  
  5. Detail oriented, organized, excellent tracking/reporting skills, effective written and verbal communication.
  6. Strong organizational, problem analysis and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate peers and achieve cooperation. 
  7. Demonstrated understanding of business process analysis and how to use information technology to cost-effectively optimize business and clinical work processes.
  8. Basic knowledge of technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices. 
  9. Ability to understand and help automate clinical workflows.
  10. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy.  Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines.  Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air.
  11. Ability to lift 50 pounds and transfer short distances.
  12. Possess the ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment.
  13. Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone.
  14. OSHA Category III – No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties.
  15. Home internet and wireless phone access required.
