Check-Mate Manufacturing has openings for Production Tech 1(s) responsible for all aspects in the Inspection of metal forming production, fabrication shop and assembly. The level I Inspector will be required to safely and efficiently execute assigned work in timely manner, meet quality standards and rates. Also expected to promote and conform to company’s regulations and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Inspects in-process production metal stampings.
• Documents actual findings utilizing Check-Mate Manufacturing forms.
• Performs assigned tasks consistently and accurately.
• Performs visual Inspection of welded components for defects and cosmetic issues.
• Maintains work flow with no or minimum interruptions.
• Responsible for cleanliness and orderliness of work environment.
• Promotes team work and willingness to help others.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
• Responsible for following established safety procedures.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, call-outs and overtime
• Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation

• H.S. diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
• Basic problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; Written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multi-task
• Able to utilize Micrometers, Calibers, Drop Gage and Dial Indicators
• Able to read and following instructions outlined in production documents
