We are seeking an experienced Senior Network & Systems Administrator to oversee and secure our school’s technical infrastructure. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the IT team, provide advanced support for escalated technical issues, and act as a backup to the Assistant Director of Information Technology. You will also participate in infrastructure planning, vendor management, and cybersecurity initiatives to ensure a stable, secure, and user-friendly environment.
This position may require occasional weekend, evening, or early morning hours to accommodate special events, maintenance windows, or emergency repairs. Includes are high quality benefits package including 5 weeks paid-time-off and 200% match on your 403(b) with your 3% contribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Infrastructure Management & Security
- Ensure uptime, performance, and security of critical systems (e.g., fiber optic/copper network, Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco VSS core, Cisco Meraki MX, wireless network, VPN, Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, Azure, Proofpoint, Zoom Phone Manager).
- Participate in the lifecycle management of hardware and software, including planning, implementation, maintenance, and vendor coordination.
- Evaluate new technologies for interoperability and alignment with the school’s strategic goals.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 3 support and troubleshooting after IT Technicians and the Senior IT Technician have escalated issues.
- Collaborate with Educational Technology personnel to maintain a positive and effective teaching and learning environment.
Documentation & Training
- Create and maintain internal technical documentation for systems, procedures, and processes.
- Develop end-user documentation to guide faculty, staff, and students in using technology resources effectively.
Cybersecurity
- Contribute to cybersecurity planning and implementation, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to safeguard end-user and data security.
Vendor & Stakeholder Relations
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring timely repairs, replacements, and support.
- Collaborate with school leadership and department directors to align IT initiatives with institutional objectives.
Professional Development
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to enhance the school’s technical environment and security posture.
Other Duties
- Â Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Department Director, Department Director, or School Leadership Team.
