Core Competencies
- High school diploma
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience working in addiction treatment preferred
- Ability to engage clients in professional, caring, and compassionate manner.
- Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate information pertinent to the screening and admission process for clients with co-occurring substance dependence and mental health issues.
- Knowledge of the physical, psychological, social, and economic effects of substance abuse, homelessness, medical and mental health disorders.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of evidence-based counseling for integrated care.
- Knowledge of community resources; federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to project a professional image.
Certifications, Licenses
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license required
