Position Overview:
In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Program Director, the Group Facilitator for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is responsible for developing, leading, and managing therapeutic group sessions for clients participating in the IOP. The facilitator will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in group therapy, a deep understanding of behavioral health, and a passion for helping clients achieve their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate therapeutic group sessions focused on mental health, substance use, coping skills, and relapse prevention.
- Use evidence-based practices to guide group discussions and activities that promote recovery and well-being.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all group participants.
- Collaborate with the Program Director and team to develop and update the IOP curriculum.
- Ensure that the content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices
- Provide individualized support to group participants as needed, helping them to apply group learnings to their personal recovery journeys.
- Identify and address any barriers to participation or engagement in the group process.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions, including attendance, participant progress, and any incidents.
- Prepare reports and contribute to treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and supervision sessions to ensure coordinated care.
- Work closely with case managers, therapists, and other healthcare providers to support client goals and treatment plans.
- Recognize and respond to crisis situations within the group setting, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to address crises and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
