Position Summary:
The Seafood Clerk at Uwajimaya prioritizes excellent customer service, offering the freshest seafood in the Pacific Northwest. They excel in accommodating customer requests for seafood preparation and cutting, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge, accuracy in pricing and weight, and providing valuable cooking technique recommendations.

Position’s Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Prepare and display seafood attractively.
-
Weigh, wrap, and label products accurately.
-
Identify and handle various seafood types.
-
Maintain optimal stock levels to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage.
-
Check for pull-dated and substandard items, ensuring freshness and quality meet standards.
-
Monitor and maintain accurate signage; replace damaged or incorrect signs.
-
Inspect and manage the seafood tank, adhering to the HACCP plan and health standards.
-
Ensure the overall cleanliness of the Seafood Department, including display cases and shelves.
-
Accurately receive incoming products.

Other duties as assigned.
