Job Scope
The Regional Center Director is assigned responsibility for the management and oversight of multiple locations which may include the online campus. When assigning locations to this position, consideration will be given to the size and complexity of operations of each individual center in order to better frame the anticipated scope of work. As a dynamic leader, the Regional Center Director works to build and establish community relationships in support of the college mission. Working directly with center leadership and staff, this position manages the provision of all student services, focusing on student recruitment and retention, and ensuring that students are achieving their educational goals in a student-centered environment. This regional oversight requires a sound approach to leadership and management that fully engages center staff and works collaboratively with all other college departments. Travel will also be required to school districts and other regional locations.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with and provides guidance to Center leadership to establish expectations for center operations.
- Responsible for ongoing development, implementation, and assessment of center operations through processes and procedures and effective problem-solving.
- Manages center operations including adherence to budget, staff recruitment, training, and evaluation.
- Works in conjunction with the Director of Recruiting and Admissions to ensure consistency with college processes and procedures and to evaluate recruitment goals.
- In collaboration with Center leadership, establishes and meets specific goals in the recruitment of students by developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive enrollment and marketing plans through collaboration with other college departments such as Admissions, Marketing, and Student Services.
- In collaboration with Center leadership, establishes and maintains effective communication and relationships with community leaders, industry, and educational professionals who may offer insight into community needs, opportunities, donations, and recruiting strategies.
- Ensures that comprehensive services are offered to students which include registration, financial aid, advising, student success, coordinating services with Accessibility Specialist, career planning, student activities, classroom matters, and student account issues.
- Receives and responds to student and faculty concerns related to the Center, and coordinates delivery of academic affairs at the center.
- Manages the Center advisory council through ensuring preparation of meeting schedules, agendas, and meeting reports, minutes, and may also lead the meetings.
- Representing the College at external events through schools, community, corporate, and other events.
- Remains current on issues, trends, and best practices in higher education through research and college supported professional development events.

Center leadership (may include Assistant Regional Center Director, Center Director, Assistant Center Director) and staff including Student Services Coordinator, Student Services Specialist, Center Assistant, Administrative Coordinators, Admissions and Information Clerks; may have other direct reports unique to each Center.
