POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. As a Ninja Zone Coach, it is your responsibility to inspire and train children in the fastest growing Ninja Sport in the industry. The coach must be able to interact effectively with children, ages 3-12 years old, and their parents/guardians. This position is great for individuals with backgrounds in gymnastics, martial arts, or parkour but is not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and instruct children in Ninja Zone classes, focusing on agility, strength, coordination and flexibility.
- Implement engaging activities that align with Ninja Zone curriculum in a memorable, captivating and fun way.
- Help children develop physically and mentally by learning concepts such as independence, self-esteem and patience.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to children to support their skill development and progress.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about children’s progress and program updates.
